We also celebrate the Brazilian spirit at the heart of Upper Farm with our coal-fired BBQ — slow-cooked, soulful and perfect for long days and nights. It’s incredibly popular in winter too, when smoky flavours meet crisp air and firelight.
Our Upper Farm picnics are lavish countryside affairs, set amongst open fields, ponds and old trees. Think generous spreads, blankets, warm breezes, birdsong and a feeling of total escape — unforgettable for couples, families, group celebrations and wellness retreats.

La Pizza di Bruna is a personal expression of heritage, craft, and hospitality — bringing artisan pizza to the English countryside through the lens of Bruna Brambilla’s Italian roots.
Inspired by her upbringing and the food culture of her family, Bruna’s approach to pizza is grounded in tradition: slow-fermented doughs, carefully sourced ingredients, and a deep respect for simplicity done well. Each pizza is stone-baked, balanced, and honest — allowing quality produce and technique to speak for themselves.
In the summer months, La Pizza di Bruna is served outdoors in our courtyard, where long tables, warm evenings and shared plates create a relaxed, convivial atmosphere. In winter, the experience moves indoors to the Island Dining Room — candlelit, intimate, and surrounded by water — offering comfort, warmth and a sense of occasion.
Alongside our regular service, La Pizza di Bruna also hosts Supper Clubs in the Clubhouse, where pizza becomes the centrepiece of an evening shaped by jazz records, carefully selected wines, and a slower rhythm. Our Oven & Casserole set menu is a celebration of slow, generous cooking — comforting, seasonal dishes designed to be shared and enjoyed together.
The experience begins simply with freshly baked bread and marinated olives, inviting the table to settle in. From there, guests choose a shared main for the table — either a hearty casserole or a classic lasagne — prepared with care, depth of flavour and a sense of home.
The main is accompanied by a selection of sides to complement the dish: basmati rice or roasted potatoes, alongside salad or roasted vegetables, allowing each table to tailor the meal to their taste. The evening concludes with our much-loved Bananella da Brunella — caramelised banana and Nutella pizza — a signature finish that brings warmth and indulgence to the table.
Perfect for colder months, this is a cosy winter option, best enjoyed slowly and in good company. In winter, it is served in our candlelit Island Dining Room; in summer, the experience moves outdoors to The Courtyard, where long evenings and open air bring a lighter rhythm to the same generous table.
